Medical Billing Apprentice

Job Summary

To gain practical skills in medical billing and accounts receivable, motivated individuals will participate in a 4-week, fully remote Medical Billing Apprentice program, which includes hands-on training, shadowing experienced professionals, and exposure to day-to-day operations in a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in guided training sessions and shadowing opportunities within the Accounts Receivable Resolution team
• Learn the operations of various Revenue Services departments, including Registration, Coding Services, and Patient Services
• Complete a comprehensive orientation to develop foundational skills in revenue cycle management

Required qualifications

• Familiarity with medical billing, revenue cycle, or clinic settings, focusing on accounts receivable follow-up and claims resolution
• Pursuit of a business degree with a demonstrated interest in healthcare administration is preferred
• High proficiency in MS Office products
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
