Medical Billing Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Associate, responsible for managing medical billing tasks in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and appeal denied claims
• Verify patient eligibility and benefits, and obtain necessary referrals and pre-authorizations
• Follow up on missed payments and assist patients with payment plans for outstanding balances

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a medical biller or in a similar role
• Strong experience in accounts receivable collections
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
• Familiarity with CPT and the latest coding guidelines
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote environment
