Job Summary
Providing essential support to patients and referral sources, the part-time Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist will manage new order intake, conduct insurance verification, and ensure accurate processing of patient care information, all while working remotely during the 2nd shift from 11:30 AM to 8 PM CST.
Key responsibilities
- Manage initial intake processes, including answering calls, collecting patient information, and processing paperwork
- Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks for services and products
- Provide patient advocacy by addressing questions and concerns through satisfaction calls
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in healthcare administration, patient intake, or insurance verification is preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing practices and reimbursement processes is preferred
- One year of related work experience is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
