Medical Billing Representative

Job Summary

Responsible for billing accounts receivable for St. Luke's Health Network, the full-time Medical Billing Representative will ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to third-party payors while working on-site in Allentown, PA, with a hybrid remote opportunity available after six months of training.

Key responsibilities

• Process UB04 and HCFA-1500 claims, ensuring completeness and accuracy for maximum reimbursement
• Verify billing data accuracy and address any claim submission issues, reporting trends to management
• Communicate with patients and third-party payers regarding billing inquiries and coordination of benefits

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Billing/Coding Program certificate preferred
• Experience with third-party billing in a hospital or similar medical facility is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EPIC computer system is a plus
