Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a part-time Medical Billing Specialist focused on Denial & Revenue Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve denied insurance claims by identifying root causes and submitting appeals
• Review claims for accurate coding and make necessary corrections
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve underpayment or denial issues

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in inpatient healthcare billing and ICU billing knowledge required
• Knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT/ICD-10) and insurance regulations
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines for various payers (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance)
• Understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM) workflow and best practices
