Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Medical Billing Specialist is a full-time remote position responsible for billing, follow-up, and collections on facility responsible transports, adhering to company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial review, billing, and follow-up on payor responsible ambulance transports
• Maintain accurate records related to invoices, billing, follow-up, and reporting
• Assist in special facility accounts receivable projects and attend client meetings as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in medical billing preferred
• Minimum of one year's experience in medical billing; knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid preferred
• General understanding of ambulance billing and service levels
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Office applications
• Ability to type 45 wpm and 10-key by touch
