Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Medical Billing & Collections Specialist will manage claim submissions, monitor claim statuses, and investigate rejections and denials while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process claims to appropriate insurance companies according to guidelines
• Perform follow-up on unpaid insurance accounts and process appeals when necessary
• Identify trends and issues related to billing and reimbursements, reporting findings to leadership

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ year(s) of experience in a business, medical, or clinical environment
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) billing systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance guidelines
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Proficient with basic accounting and ten-key by touch preferred
