Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the billing team, the full-time remote Medical Billing Specialist will ensure accurate claims submission, resolve edits and rejections efficiently, and enhance revenue cycle processes through collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits and data analysis to improve revenue cycle accuracy and effectiveness
• Monitor standards and perform timely reviews of patient accounts and vendor work products to identify root causes of denials
• Participate in meetings to suggest improvements in policies, procedures, and technology for enhanced workflow efficiency

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• 3 years of healthcare experience in a clinical or office setting
• 1 year of healthcare revenue cycle experience
• Claim, denial, and/or process auditing experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
