Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Contracts Representative will manage billing, follow-up, and collections for facility responsible ambulance transports while adhering to company SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial reviews, billing, and follow-ups with facilities on payor responsible ambulance transports
• Maintain accurate records related to invoices, billing, follow-up, and reporting
• Communicate effectively with facilities to obtain billing information and payments through calls and emails

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in medical billing preferred
• Minimum of one year's experience in medical billing required
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and regulations preferred
• General understanding of ambulance billing and CMS DRG/PPS guidelines
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Office applications
