Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist, this full-time remote position will manage billing EMR, submit medical claims to insurance companies, and appeal denied claims while ensuring accurate patient information and compliance with billing regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
• Investigate and appeal denied claims while monitoring patient payments
• Access EMRs to verify patient demographics and insurance information

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of billing, coding, and EMR systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and communication tools
