Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will manage medical billing operations, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately post incoming payments and generate patient statements and invoices
• Monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and underpayments

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing processes
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnosis coding
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) or medical billing software
