Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Shared Services team, the full-time Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Specialist will verify eligibility, prepare and file claims, and follow up on claims for specialty transports, with the option to work remotely or onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and benefits through payor portals and phone calls
• Prepare and file claims according to payor requirements and follow up to ensure timely processing
• Review EOBs and appeal denied or incorrectly paid claims for appropriate reimbursement

Required qualifications

• Fluent in English
• Minimum 1 year of call center experience
• Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
• Experience reading and interpreting EOBs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
