Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient billing processes, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will manage referral processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while identifying revenue opportunities and improving collection rates in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review patient files for completeness, audit claims, and submit billing to payers for reimbursement
• Communicate with franchise partners and departments regarding order intake status and document case activity in the system
• Obtain prior authorizations, track progress, and communicate financial obligations to patients to ensure understanding of therapy costs

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, and/or collections
• Two years of experience in Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections
• Two years of experience in home infusion therapy
• Coding Course Certification is highly preferred
• Proven knowledge of billing processes and systems across various payer types
