Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will verify eligibility, prepare and file claims, and follow up on claims to ensure timely processing, with the flexibility to work remotely or on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and benefits via payor portals and phone calls
• Prep and file claims according to payor requirements and follow up on claims for timely processing
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and appeal denied or incorrectly paid claims for appropriate reimbursement

Required qualifications

• Fluent in English
• Minimum 1 year of call center experience
• Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
• Experience reading and interpreting EOBs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
