Job Summary

A company is looking for a Charge Entry Specialist I/II.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze charge documents, assigning appropriate charge codes based on established guidelines
• Ensure accuracy of charge information and analyze provider documentation for correct coding
• Coordinate revenue enhancement opportunities and maintain expertise in the patient account system and Charge Description Master

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Charge Entry Specialist I: Three months of experience in medical coding or charging
• Charge Entry Specialist II: Two years of medical charging experience
• Charge Entry Specialist II: Certificate in medical coding
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle concepts and clinical knowledge
