Medical Coder - WA Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing billing department, the full-time Medical Coder - WA Licensed will perform accurate coding and billing services, including reviewing documentation and assigning appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, while working remotely from home.

Key responsibilities

• Review documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Clarify documentation or diagnosis by communicating with physicians and sending queries as needed
• Ensure department goals are met while maintaining knowledge of current billing rules and trends

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one-year experience with physician coding
• AAPC Credential: Minimum certification of a CPC, or AHIMA certification, or in pursuit of certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft product suite and Internet
