Medical Coder with MD or DO

Job Summary

To support a cutting-edge GenAI team, the full-time temporary Knowledge Expert Coder with MD or DO will guide research teams, evaluate annotation quality, and directly annotate data, all while working remotely within local hours.

Key responsibilities

• Guide research teams to improve AI model performance by closing knowledge gaps in the medical field
• Evaluate and grade the quality of annotations for Supervised Fine Tuning and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback
• Directly annotate data and provide feedback to optimize annotation quality when necessary

Required qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the medical field
• Experience with Claude code/AI tools, demonstrating intermediate to advanced coding skills in languages such as Python
• Strong analytical abilities to identify trends and evaluate annotation quality
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
