Medical Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor (Contract Role).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive coding audits for inpatient and outpatient hospital services to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Review medical records and billing data to identify errors and areas for improvement
• Provide education and feedback to coding and billing staff to enhance coding accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in medical coding and auditing
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and APC classification systems
• Thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations
• Experience with coding compliance audits
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare teams
