Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coding SME Writer specializing in Pathology and Laboratory on a freelance basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching, writing, and editing content for print and web-based media
- Collaborating with a managing editor
- Ensuring timely delivery of all content
Required Qualifications:
- Five years of non-fiction writing and editing experience for print or web
- Knowledge and writing experience in medical coding, reimbursement, healthcare (CPC or similar AAPC credential preferred)
- Subject matter expertise in coding/billing/auditing/healthcare for pathology and laboratory
- Coding or billing certification required
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field preferred
