Medical Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review documentation in medical records to support clinical documentation and patient care
• Utilize coding resources to determine appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes
• Analyze reports for coding improvement and provide feedback to physicians and providers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years working for a health plan or large provider practice
• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder Certification
• Experience with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid Risk Adjustment programs
