Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate billing of services by assigning correct ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Review documentation and pending billing slips for timely and clean claims submission
• Coordinate with medical staff to address billing issues and maintain quality metrics

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent work-related history; college education or trade school preferred
• Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Medical Coder preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a physician group practice billing department preferred
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding conventions
• Knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement guidelines
