Medical Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising a team of medical coders for both physician and hospital services, the full-time Medical Coding Supervisor will ensure coding accuracy and compliance, optimize processes, and support revenue cycle goals in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of medical coders, fostering a positive work environment
• Ensure accurate and timely coding in compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards
• Assist the Medical Coding Manager with audits and track coding productivity to meet performance metrics

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• Current nationally recognized coding certification (CPC, CCS-P, CCS, etc.) in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of medical coding experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems with experience in both inpatient and outpatient coding
• Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
