Medical Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage collection processes related to medical account receivables to achieve cash collection goals
• Research outstanding balances and implement necessary collection actions, including negotiating payment plans
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while resubmitting claims and resolving billing issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of insurance reimbursement
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices and coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to type 40 wpm
