Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Collector (H) to manage billing and collections for accounts involving legal representation.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between law firms, third party records retrieval companies, patient advocates, and internal departments for legal representation accounts
• Process subpoenas and 766 requests for billing records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and generating itemized bills
• Negotiate settlements and manage Epic Workqueues for assigned accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health insurance billing processes
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records/billing systems
• Ability to meet or exceed performance metrics in a compliance-driven environment
