Medical Collector

Job Summary

Seeking an independent and detail-oriented Medical Collector, the full-time remote position will manage primary and secondary claims, respond to billing inquiries, and resolve account issues to ensure timely payment of open claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage primary and secondary claims and resolve denials while submitting appeals
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
• Collaborate with clinics to identify and resolve outstanding account balances

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; equivalent education or experience may be considered
• Preferred 2 years of prior medical receivable collections experience
• Understanding of medical claims processing and insurance systems
• Knowledge of state and federal billing and collections regulations
• Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits and claim denials
