Medical Collector II

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Medical Collector II will manage outstanding claims by contacting payers, rebilling claims as necessary, and appealing denied claims while ensuring accurate documentation for processing and payment.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate follow-up with insurance companies for payments of pending claims
• Appeal denied claims with insurance carriers and research credit balances for potential refunds
• Process payments over the phone and assist with incoming calls from providers or patients

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum of 6 months prior medical billing/collections experience
• Experience in the healthcare/medical industry preferred
• Proven experience using multiple computer screens and applications simultaneously
• Experience navigating insurance company web portals
