Medical Cost Analyst

Job Summary

To support the Sr. Director of Risk Actuarial Services, the full-time remote Medical Cost Projection Analyst will manage lifetime medical cost planning for injured workers, participate in process improvements for cost estimation, and conduct data analysis of medical claims using various programming tools.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for lifetime medical cost planning for injured workers on an accurate and timely basis
• Participate in the improvement of the process surrounding the estimation of lifetime medical costs
• Support the actuarial function with data analysis of medical claims using programming tools

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, SAS, SQL, Python, or VBA for complex data analysis
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Power BI
• 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation
• 5+ years of experience with health care claims data and analyses
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
