Job Summary
Managing the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for healthcare providers, the full-time Medical Credentialing Coordinator will ensure compliance with healthcare standards while maintaining accurate credentialing files and databases in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of credentialing and re-credentialing for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Stay current on federal, state, and accreditation requirements to ensure provider compliance
- Maintain and update credentialing databases and create reports for leadership and regulatory agencies
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of credentialing, healthcare administration, or related experience
- Solid knowledge of credentialing processes and healthcare compliance
- Experience with credentialing databases and related software
- Background in medical staff services or insurance credentialing is a plus
