Medical Director
Job Summary
Providing scientific and medical direction, the remote Medical Director will work full-time to incorporate clinical and medical insights into client strategies while training junior staff and collaborating with senior medical and creative teams.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain expert understanding of clients' product prescribing information and monitor relevant disease categories for updates
- Develop actionable scientific and clinical insights to inform medical strategies and oversee creative deliverables
- Provide ongoing training and education for internal staff while supporting senior Medical staff in new business opportunities
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences: PhD or MD (preferred), or PharmD
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare communications, medical education, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience translating scientific data into presentations and live presentations of clinical results
- Authorship in peer-reviewed publications or presentation of abstracts at major scientific/medical conferences preferred
- Understanding of biochemical mechanisms, clinical research, and pharmaceutical marketing compliance
