Medical Director - Cardio-metabolic

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director - Early Development - Cardio-metabolic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an internal clinical expert for translational and clinical programs in the Obesity/Cardiometabolic therapeutic area
• Act as medical monitor for clinical trials and assist in resolving major issues affecting the studies
• Lead the early phase clinical development of compounds from first-in-man studies through proof of concept

Required Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
• 2 years of clinical research experience and/or basic science research
• Subspecialty board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or Cardiology preferred
• Strong background in basic science or clinical research in academia or industry
• Experience in early phase development and/or biomarker work is preferred
