Medical Director, Clinical Informatics

Job Summary

To support the development of AI-powered clinical decision support tools, the full-time salaried Medical Director, Clinical Informatics will oversee the interpretation of clinical content, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide the construction of attestation trees in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Providing oversight and input throughout the product development process, from initial review of medical policy to the release of AI-enabled attestation trees
• Guiding clinical oversight for teams building and maintaining clinical content, ensuring alignment with medical policy and clinical guidelines
• Reviewing audit findings and customer feedback to identify opportunities for decision tree improvement and enhance AI output validity

Required qualifications

• MD/DO with at least 8 years of clinical experience
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle roles, including utilization management and prior authorization
• Prior experience working in healthcare information technology and with cross-functional teams
• Deep knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry and relevant regulations
• Exceptional critical thinking and reasoning skills
