Medical Director, Medical Affairs

Job Summary

Supporting the Medical Affairs department, the full-time Medical Director, Medical Affairs will manage clinical trial activities, oversee patient safety and pharmacovigilance, and lead a team remotely across various European locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement medical and operational strategies, policies, and procedures
• Manage medically related activities in clinical trial planning and execution
• Lead and mentor direct reports within the Medical Affairs Department while managing client relationships and project deliverables

Required qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in a medical or health-related field; MD and board certification preferred
• 10 years of relevant medical work experience, with prior clinical research experience strongly preferred
• 5 years of people management experience or experience leading project teams
• Proficiency in ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and clinical research regulations
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and effectively mentor team members
