Medical Director, Oncology

Job Summary

Seeking a strategic clinical leader, the remote Medical Director for Transitional Case Management will manage the evolution of transitional care programs, support frontline teams, and contribute to organizational priorities, ensuring high-quality care for members navigating high-risk transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of the transitional case management program, focusing on measurable outcomes and clinical protocols
• Provide clinical support and education to the frontline care team, participating in case conferences and collaborating on complex care situations
• Lead special projects and strategic initiatives, developing clinical protocols and representing the organization in external meetings with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Board certified in medical oncology with at least 3 years of clinical experience caring for oncology patients post-fellowship
• Unrestricted medical license with a willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed
• Experience with transitional care management programs or reducing avoidable readmissions in oncology or complex care populations is preferred
• Proficiency in using technology, including video conferencing and electronic health records
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
