Medical Director - Vascular Surgery

Job Summary

To support clinical operations, the remote Medical Director - Vascular Surgery will manage coverage reviews, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure quality medical care while working full-time in a salaried position.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct coverage reviews based on individual member plan benefits and national coverage policies
• Document clinical review findings and engage in peer-to-peer discussions with providers
• Communicate with network and non-network providers to ensure accurate benefit determinations

Required qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. with board certification in General Surgery, focusing on Vascular Surgery
• Active unrestricted medical license
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency
• Strong understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
• Experience performing vascular surgeries and procedures
