Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Medical Document Integrity Specialist will prepare and provide medical records and supporting documents for processing claims, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and HIPAA compliance to maximize reimbursement for hospital clients.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, review, collate, and submit claim documents and medical records electronically while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Fax claim documents accurately and rename electronic files to ensure proper storage in client/patient folders
- Perform claim data entry, including retyping UB-04 and HCFA 1500 forms and account notation in FACS/Artiva
Required qualifications
- Adherence to HIPAA requirements
- Moderate computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Some experience working with medical records is preferred
- Strong organization and documentation skills for accurate record keeping
- Basic critical thinking skills to define problems and draw valid conclusions
