Medical Economics Analyst

Job Summary

Using data analysis to identify medical cost trends, the full-time Medical Economics Analyst will evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support strategic business decisions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex medical claims and healthcare data to identify cost and utilization trends
• Develop financial models to assess the impact of new clinical programs and initiatives
• Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders, including senior management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Public Health, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline
• 1-3 years of analytical experience in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is highly valued
