Job Summary
Driving financial reporting and analytical activities, the full-time Medical Economics Analyst will focus on evaluating Healthcare Management's P&L, identifying medical cost savings, and supporting Value Based Program analytics while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide analysis to inform network and medical cost management strategies within Health Care Management
- Develop and monitor metrics and reports related to medical cost performance, including variance analysis and revenue details
- Coordinate and consolidate the HCM Monthly Operating Review, leveraging analytics from multidisciplinary teams to evaluate medical cost activities
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in health care/managed care with direct responsibility in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Medical Cost Management
- Progressive understanding of managed care business processes, data, and systems related to claims payment and utilization management
- Experience collaborating with business partners in medical cost analysis and financial reporting
- Solid understanding of P&L management principles and medical cost trends
