Job Summary
Working remotely, the Medical Editor will manage editorial tasks for assigned accounts, focusing on medical editing, fact-checking, and preparing submissions of pharmaceutical marketing materials in a detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the editorial work by copy editing projects for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client and AMA style
- Perform fact-checking and review medical/legal/regulatory changes in the context of the overall piece
- Collaborate with account teams to ensure compliance with MLR submission processes and suggest efficiencies in internal workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, English, Life Science, Regulatory)
- Minimum of 3 years editing experience in the medical communication, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
- At least 1 year of experience in the advertising and/or pharmaceutical marketing industry preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with American Medical Association (AMA) Style and Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) requirements
