Medical Editor

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Medical Editor in a full-time capacity, this role will focus on editing a variety of medical communications deliverables, ensuring high-quality standards while collaborating with research staff and other team members, either in the Manchester office or remotely within the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Editing deliverables for grammar, spelling, style, and consistency according to relevant style guides
• Collaborating with contributors, writers, and project managers to produce impactful documents
• Managing complex schedules and ensuring timely production of high-quality materials

Required qualifications

• University degree in Liberal Arts, English, Communications, or Journalism
• Minimum of 5 years of editing experience, preferably in medical or scientific communications
• Strong knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules, with proficiency in style guides like the AMA Manual of Style
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and familiarity with EndNote and Adobe InDesign
• Understanding of medical terminology and proven ability to maintain effective working relationships
