Medical Editor

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Medical Editor will ensure the editorial quality of medical communications content by fact-checking, proofreading, and editing materials for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Fact-check and edit medical communications materials, ensuring adherence to client and AMA style guides
• Prepare and submit content through the Veeva Vault system while maintaining reference lists and managing copyright permissions
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure content accuracy and provide editorial support throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (science or English preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical editing
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications
• Familiarity with the AMA Manual of Style and medical writing style guidelines
• Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple tasks effectively
