Medical Equipment IT Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Equipment IT Specialist (MEITS) to provide support for network connectivity and security of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors and IT to connect and maintain networked medical equipment
• Provide technical support and project management for system installation and integration of medical devices
• Maintain records of work activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in Biomedical/Electronics/Computer/Information Technology/Cyber Security or equivalent technical discipline preferred
• Five years of direct experience in an IT-related discipline or three years with relevant certifications
• Superior knowledge of information systems, networking, and network security
• Basic knowledge of DICOM and HL7 communications is desirable
• Licensure and certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA are preferred
