Medical Information Specialist

Job Summary

To support a dynamic Medical Affairs team, the contract Medical Information Specialist will manage the intake and triage of medical inquiries, provide accurate responses to healthcare professionals, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the intake and triage of all medical information inquiries received via various channels
• Document all medical information processes and interactions within the departmental database
• Monitor and process adverse events and product quality complaints in accordance with Pharmacovigilance SOPs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field or equivalent professional experience in a Medical Information role
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical Medical Information department or Contact Center
• Working knowledge of current regulatory guidelines and healthcare compliance
• Experience with Medical Information databases such as SciMax MI, IRMS, or Veeva MedInquiry is preferred
• Therapeutic knowledge in Oncology, Cardiology, or Neurology is advantageous
