Medical Insurance Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely within Florida, the full-time Medical Insurance Collections Specialist will utilize various collection techniques to manage outstanding patient account balances, maintain records of collection activities, and communicate with responsible parties to facilitate payments.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintains records of collections activities and prepares necessary reports
• Contacts responsible parties to solicit payment for delinquent accounts through mail and phone
• Collects payments from various organizations and posts them to the appropriate accounts

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• No prior work experience required
