Medical Insurance Collector

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and motivated, the full-time Medical Insurance Collector will work remotely to engage with insurance companies to resolve claims denials or non-payments, initiate necessary documentation, and follow up until payment is secured.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with insurance companies to identify causes of claim denials or non-payments and initiate appropriate actions
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies while following up on claims until resolution
• Conduct research and verification of insurance benefits through various channels to facilitate timely payments

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and reimbursement methodologies
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities
