Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Medical Insurance Collector will work remotely to resolve insurance claim denials and non-payments by collaborating with insurance companies, preparing necessary documentation, and following up until payment is achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Work with insurance companies to determine the cause of claim denials or non-payments
• Initiate actions to prepare and submit documentation needed to resolve claims
• Maintain records and follow up on claims to ensure payment or exhaustion of recourse

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle, focusing on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance environments and reimbursement methodologies
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
