Medical Insurance Collector

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Medical Insurance Collector will work remotely to resolve claim denials and non-payments by collaborating with insurance companies, preparing necessary documentation, and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with insurance companies to determine the cause of denial or non-payment of claims
• Initiate actions to prepare and submit documentation needed to resolve claim issues
• Follow up on claims until payment is received or all recourse is exhausted, maintaining records as per company policies

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and various reimbursement methodologies
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Ability to meet technical requirements for a remote work environment
