Medical Insurance Follow-Up Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Insurance Follow-Up Specialist who will ensure the timely and accurate resolution of outstanding insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis and follow-up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely resolution
• Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appropriate billing corrections and appeals
• Maintain accurate records of account activity and support process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with commercial or third-party insurance claims and medical billing/follow-up
• Understanding of various forms, codes (CPT & ICD), and insurance terminology
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and/or Medicare certification are a plus
