Medical Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing effective video remote interpreting services, the contract Mixteco Remote Interpreter will deliver professional and courteous interpretation for clients from a remote location, requiring strong customer service skills and knowledge of medical interpreting ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver video remote interpreting services for clients effectively
• Exhibit professional and courteous behavior during all interactions
• Maintain a strong understanding of the interpreter Code of Ethics and provide excellent customer service

Required qualifications

• Fluent in English and Mixteco with strong verbal communication skills
• At least 2-5 years of interpreting experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Credentialed in medical interpreting is preferred
• Respect and understanding of Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients and their cultural needs
• Knowledge of VRI technology requirements, including a Windows-based PC and stable internet connection
