Job Summary

Seeking a remote Suret or Assyrian Neo-Aramaic Interpreter on a contract basis, the position focuses on providing effective video remote interpreting services for medical appointments while ensuring professional and courteous interaction with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective video remote interpreting services for clients during medical appointments
• Exhibit professional and courteous behavior while interacting with clients
• Adhere to the interpreter Code of Ethics and maintain a strong commitment to customer service

Required qualifications

• Fluency and strong verbal communication skills in both Suret or Assyrian Neo-Aramaic and English
• At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience
• Credentialing in medical interpreting is preferred
• Familiarity with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws in the medical field
• Understanding and respect for Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients, their culture, and their beliefs
