Medical Liability Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter to support the Underwriting team in delivering exceptional customer service and managing policy processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the AVP of Underwriting in the production, selection, pricing, control, and servicing of insurance policies
• Analyze, evaluate, and make underwriting decisions in line with guidelines, coordinating with other underwriting staff
• Collaborate with Sales to build and manage relationships with agents/brokers

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an Underwriter in Medical Professional Liability Insurance
• Ability to operate with urgency and meet processing deadlines
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) rules
• Production Underwriting experience is considered an asset
• Candidate location preferred on the West Coast or able to work permanent West-Coast hours
